The Longevity Lab: Movement for the Aging Body
As we move through different life stages, our needs shift—and so should the way we move! At BCTO, we’ve seen firsthand how age-diverse movement classes can cultivate resilience, community, and joy. The Longevity Lab bridges the gap between curiosity and confidence for those who are new to fitness later in life, returning after time away, or leading aging populations through mindful movement.
The Longevity Lab: Movement for the Aging Body is a weekend intensive designed to explore movement principles rooted in mobility, strength, balance, breath, and joint longevity, specifically for bodies ages 40+, with focused application for those in the 50–75 age range.
Participants will gain an understanding of how the body changes over time and how to adapt, modify, and support those shifts through intentional and accessible movement practices. Featuring a blend of practical workshops and guided lectures, this two-day experience will leave you feeling empowered, educated, and inspired to continue moving well—at ANY age.
COURSE OBJECTIVE:
Whether in their own practice or in leading others, this course is designed for current instructors, and lifelong learners who believe movement is medicine. We approach education with empowerment at its core, supporting individuals and educators to move smarter, not harder, with strategies that celebrate the capacity of the aging body.

Daily Guided Movement Practice
Lecture + Group Discussion

10:00am – 3:00pm (with a 1-hour lunch break)
